Prior to my first visit with Dr. Varano I had received a consultation with a well televised company that specializes in fat reduction. I was less than impressed with the whole operation and felt even less comfortable in the safety of their procedures. On a whim and out of frustration I googled laser liposuction and Dr. Varano's practice popped up. I figured why not, and made an appointment for an initial consultation. Within minutes of meeting Dr. Varano I knew that I had made the right choice. He was honest thorough and put me completely at ease. The procedure took exactly the amount of time that he had predicted, with little discomfort I had opted for the liposuction coupled with the.J-plasma, which I highly recommend. I left the office feeling hopeful and looking forward to feeling confident in my clothes again, and not wearing long full shirts that would cover up my bulging Abdomen. It was quickly apparent that I was going to be happy with the results. I wore the binding garment the office gave me, and purchased a second one from Amazon. Wearing the garment 24/7 for three weeks, was not near as daunting as I had feared, and certainly was a benefit to my recovery. Close to three months later I could not be happier with my decision and Dr Varano as my practitioner in this journey. I feel like my results were just short of a miracle for me. My entire adult life I struggled with a bulging belly, primarily due to three pregnancies. No matter how much exercise or restrictive diet I would put myself through the weight would never leave my gut. It affected the way I felt about myself and my confidence in wearing my clothes. Now I'm back to my size 6, even sometimes a 4. My body is much more proportionate and I don't feel a need to wear long baggy shirts or uncomfortable disproportionate shapewear any longer. In my postop appointment, Dr. Varano shared that I had lost 3 inches around my waist and my hips. I kept news of my procedure to my immediate family, but I've had several people comment on how healthy and trim I was looking. I can't thank Dr. Varano and his team enough. It was an incredibly positive experience with life-changing result. If somebody is looking for a recommendation, I am happy to say, you could not make a better choice.

I recommend Dr. Drew Varano 100%!!!! He is a genius and an artist - true subject matter expert in his profession - my girlfriend and I wish we could go for everything and anything to him. Dr. Varano is not in it for the money as some others are - his priority is to make things right! He is one of the rare doctors that still has an amazing bed-side manners. Dr. Varano takes pride in his work and wants to ensure that the patient as well as he is absolutely satisfied with the results. I got the 360 smart lipo to include the legs and j-plasma. The results were amazing within the first two weeks. Then I went to my follow-up appointments. The results on my back was not to my likings, hence, I asked for another j-plasma procedure. Dr. Varano assured me that my body was still recovering and that I needed to wait until November before I asked for the skin tightening again. If Dr. Varano would have been solely money oriented, he could have immediately do the procedure right there and then and collect couple more thousands of Dollars. But NO! Dr. Verona is a gentlemen, true professional, an artist, and a genius who takes pride in his work and wants the best result for both, the patient and the doctor 🙂 I am 100% sure that he will make any corrections at no cost if the results are not to his likings come November 2025. Thank you so much Dr. Varano, I sure appreciate you and cannot wait to come back in November for Botox touchup and final follow-up on my smart lipo/j-plasma! Ladies/Gentlemen, please remember that achieving the best results will require you to do your part as well: wear the garment as instructed and do not expect to have the results remain the same without any doing your part. I needed to get these stubborn fat pockets removed and I continue the same lifestyle as from before. Even after not exercising for about 3 months, I still loved seeing the results in the mirror. There are going to be dimples and/or some uneven parts - but it beats what I looked like before. And some massage will help in those areas. At a minimum, when I put my cloths on - I feel free! Reviews is not my thing but in this case I couldn't ignore credit where credit is due. I am a mother of three in my early 40s.. I do at least twice a week in the gym however some body fats especially the belly fats just don't budge sometimes, so I started researching other alternatives such as Lipo,cool sculpting etc.. I did at least 3 consultations with different doctors then finally settled for Dr Drew Verano only because during the consultation he advised me that I wasn't a perfect candidate for Liposuction if I was looking to be straight out flatten out and instead recommended I do a tummy tuck which he wouldn't be able to perform in his practice but would given me a referral (he Was so results driven and I instantly had a good feeling and because in my mind if I took some fats out and continued with my regular work outs I would be fine so I decided to do Lipo anyway. I went back for my one week review today and mind you Liposuction is not a quick fix ,it takes time at least 6weeks to see progressive results. I am totally impress with Dr Verano.. He is very honest and a pro and with just one week of my results I can unequivocally will recommend him any time and to any body as a matter of fact I already recommended 2 of my girlfriends. Follow instructions and the rest takes care of its self. His practice is located on the 4th floor of 2311 M street NW # 402. He has a very beautiful clean office and exceptionally friendly staff.. Cost is very reasonable considering the results.. I consulted with Sonobello In Hanover Maryland and were charging me twice what I paid at Dr Verano. I also consulted with American Lipo Centre out of a shared office space and i wasn't seen by a doctor but a staff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! When I was 37 weeks pregnant I started researching and calling around at least a dozen places to get rid of a very dark spot (pregnancy melasma) after giving birth. Most places are not transparent about their pricing and require you to come in for a consult before even giving you the cost. MCE was different from the onset. First of all, they actually have pricing on their website. It's the only practice that does that. And they pick up the phone-- it's not some AI or voicemail. When I called the first time, I spoke to someone who was extremely friendly and sympathetic -- she immediately gave me an email address to send a photo; spoke with the doctor in realtime and made suggestions then gave me a quote. I was impressed. So I called them after giving birth and made an appointment. It was very easy. The procedure was quick and simple. The doctor has great bedside manner too. He didn't try to upsell me anything-- I was surprised because most doctors push you to come back for more procedures. I really liked his nurse, Ansley. She was very friendly! Again, no upselling as I checks out and left. I called them ten days later because my dark spot didn't fade away. Ansley was very kind enough to invite me back for a complimentary touch up. There was no wait time and she was extremely efficient and proficient. Again, I was impressed. I will be back. Do yourself a favor and stop shopping around! I have had several procedures with Dr. Verano or the estheticians/nurse at Medical Cosmetic Enhancements. I appreciate the personal attention Dr. Verano and his staff have given me, and I feel supported and heard. Dr. Verano's botox and filler skills are excellent (forehead botox, cheek filler). I have had an excellent micro-needling procedure which improves the texture of my skin. The best treatment to date has been Fraxel Restore laser. It improved my skin's texture, laxity and discolorations (face and neck). I anticipate having more Fraxel sessions and recommend it highly. The smart lipo was a good choice and removed most of my menopause belly. I look great in clothes again and have several more inches around my waist (I am an apple shape). I did get very lumpy but the staff provided discounted Vellashape treatment which helped the lumps smooth out. My only warning with smart lipo is that the fat still grows if you gain weight, but in new areas. Also, I would be very specific about what areas are included. I thought flanks were included but the remain, and thought my 'square hips' at the rear was included but that is a separate area. The Jplasma skin tightening was helpful on my bra line in particular. The office is informal and personal, which suits me too.

During my initial consultation, Dr. Varano pre-emptively answered all of my questions and was clearly very experienced with the procedure. I left that day with a good sense of what to expect and clear written documentation about the procedure. The office is clean and nice, scheduling was always easy, and my appointments were always on time. On the day of the procedure, all of the staff (both medical and office)were great, and the medical staff in particular were very calming. The whole procedure took less than 90 minutes, as predicted, and Dr. Varano explained each step as it happened so I knew what was going on and what I was feeling. While it wasn't the most comfortable experience, it was very tolerable and went by quickly. Recovery was easier than I expected: regular OTC Tylenol was fine and I stopped taking even that after a few days. The pain level was mostly that of a bad bruise and the incisions healed quickly. I was still extremely swollen when I went in for my first post-op appt, but Dr. Varano showed me my before pictures and there was very obvious improvement already. I'm really pleased with the results and experience overall.

Got arm liposuction done with Dr. Varano and it was a great experience. I literally just got it done and am typing this from the lobby of his office :). I had a quick virtual consult on Feb. 1st and was able to book three weeks later, which was amazing. Dr. Varano was very thorough explaining the process and made sure to ask about my health history and medications. I also received my quote during the consult. On the day of my appointment, everything from check-in to getting bandaged up took about 90 minutes. The process wasn't too painful. On a scale of 1 to 10, the numbing part was about a 6, and the actual lipo part was about a 2. I was awake the whole time, just listening to music. They sent me home with extra bandages and a compression garment to wear. I'll update after a month with how it looks and feels, but so far it's been great. Thank you Dr. Varano! To say I was a bit nervous about getting my arms done while awake would be an understatement. Dr. Varano and his staff made me feel relaxed and put me at ease the moment I walked in the door for the procedure - Arms slimlipo and j-plasma. The moment I felt any discomfort Dr. Varano stopped to ensure I remained properly, and then continued. Trust me, that's huge. I also appreciated his attention to detail. I thought we were done. Dr. Varano looked at both arms, didn't like the look of one and had me lay back down to fix it until he approved. I was told we took a little bit longer than expected, so kudos to Dr. Varano for taking his time. No one wants lopsided arms because their allotted time was up. The aftercare instructions were clear and my arms while sore are visibly smaller. The hardest part was choosing what to watch on Netflix! Special thanks to his assistant, she was an absolute joy!

I recently had laser liposuction on my abdomen and thighs with Dr. Varano and am so happy with my results! The entire experience was so easy and positive. During the consultation, Dr. Varano took his time to clearly explain the entire procedure to me, including pre-and post-care instructions, and was extremely thorough and patient as I asked all of my questions. I must have called his assistant Emmanuelle at least 10 times with various questions, and she was always so friendly and knowledgeable. She and Dr. Varano really put me at ease during the procedure, and I felt very relaxed and confident in my decision. Recovery was a breeze! I took Friday off from work, so I had the weekend to rest. I had Slim Lipo last week with Dr. Varano on the chin, flanks and abdomen. It's only been a week and I'm so impressed with my results already and I know they'll only get better. The office staff was great, very friendly and welcoming. Emmanuelle was especially accommodating and quickly answered all my questions via email. The procedure as far as quoting, invoicing, payment was so easy and painless. For the surgery itself, Dr. Varano did a great job of setting my expectations for pain level, and he throughly explained the numbing process and well as the fat removal itself. He talked to me the entire time about different things, which really eased my mind and calmed my nerves. I can't recommend him and the office enough! I'll definitely be back for some of the other service offerings!

Very accessible location in DC. I live in Maryland and commute to DC via the metro for all of my appointments, the walk from the metro stop is smooth. I'm normally in and out in less than 15 minutes, that's truly unheard of, and it doesn't matter what time of day or day of the week. Their scheduling is on point because I have never waited much pass my scheduled appt. to be seen. The woman who usually works the front is very personable and nice; you can tell even when she's having maybe a difficult day that she doesn't let it effect her interactions with customers...professionalism at it's finest. Only thing is that when it comes to calling in for scheduling appointments, the line can be busy at times so you may have to call a few times before getting through.

Medical Cosmetic Enhancements was the perfect choice to get my laser liposuction. I was not very knowledgeable about the process which made me feel a bit uneasy. However, Dr. V. and his staff were great! They educated me on the process and answered all of my questions and it made me feel very confident about the procedure. Furthermore, the procedure was a breeze. They made me feel comfortable in the surgical room too and the pain I endured during the actual procedure was minimal. After, I received the local anesthesia I barely felt a thing. And, the results are amazing! All in all, they are a great team and I plan to tell all my friends and visit them in the future for all of my cosmetic needs.

I visited this location today for a fraxel facial with microdermabrasion and it went really well! The office was nice and quiet when I stopped by I was the last appointment of the afternoon. The pain was 5 out of 10 for me as I numbed my face at home before my visit (not offered on site). The technician was very knowledgeable about her products and took her time explaining the benefits of the laser that she used. I suffer with melasma, and I think that this treatment will improve my skin barrier overall. Today was my first laser treatment and it was suggested that I come back for another in 6 weeks which I plan to do. Thanks Medical Cosmetics!

I was so conscious regarding my back fat with summer months approaching. I was uncomfortable wearing summer dresses. Not withstanding numerous hours at the gym I was unable to alleviate my back fat I accumulated over the years. One night while scrolling through IG, I found Dr. Varano who performed awake liposuction. I immediately set up a consultation and was made to feel welcoming and engaging. After a consultation with Dr. Varano, I decided to have the procedure done. Although slightly uncomfortable after my procedure I was really satisfied with my results after a week. Dr. Varano did an outstanding job of performing my tumescent liposuction on my upper and lower abdomen as well as my obliques. I experienced no pain, just discomfort. I was so relaxed that I watched a Netflix show as the procedure took place. His staff provided me the best bedside manner and my results were instant. I had MiraDry to reduce the sweat and odor under my arms. Needles make me really nervous, but the staff kept me calm and it was so easy. I felt one poke. Then all was numb and the rest was nothing. I iced religiously the first day and I've had some swelling as expected(pictures), but decided to skip ibuprofen (though recommended). I now haven't worn any antiperspirant and I'm fascinated that I have no moisture or odor even when I'm giving a presentation! Out of habit I keep checking, but know in time I will be confident to not check. I highly recommend MiraDry. It's life changing.

So far, I have had two laser tattoo removal sessions at Medical Cosmetic Enhancements and I do intend on getting my third laser session with them. Their service is fast, affordable and conveniently located in the middle of DC (easier to metro or Uber there due to limited parking). The staff is very nice and talk you through the pain, which is very helpful because laser tattoo removal is more painful than getting a tattoo itself. Very happy that I got lucky running across this business instead of going to a different business, because the service here could not be topped!

I had purchased a package of treatments via Groupon and was told that they may not give me the results I was looking for but suggested another treatment at no additional cost. It has taken me awhile to find a laser hair removal place that fits me, but Medical Cosmetic Enhancements definitely fits that bill. Not only is it clean but when you enter, you are usually greeted happily and taken back to your appointment almost immediately. If I have questions, they are always answered thoroughly. I'd developed some stubborn fat pockets that I wanted removed, initially I went for cool sculpting but developed PAH a rare condition found in 1 out of 10 people. The staff is very nice, as well as the facility. I've been happy with my treatments so far. My only issue is with the scheduling. It would be helpful if there was an online system so I didn't have to email/call to change an appointment. Furthermore, the system always seems to be 'not available' when I am there to book my next appointment, so I have to make a note for myself to call back for scheduling, which adds added work on me, the customer. Otherwise, no complaints, and I'm glad I chose this place for my tattoo removal.

my overall experience was really what I expected and more I went in for slim lipo and was able to walk out that same day every patient is different my procedure went well the only part I did not like was the numbing medicine it was a pain 3 for me and once that was over with I was good to go .I'm on day 4 of recovery and I'm feeling great .day one and 2 was the worst u lived on the meds 3 and 4 I came off but still took my antibiotics. I can already tell my scares will go away they are so tiny.

Everyone I've seen is friendly, competent, and professional. The results I've had with laser hair removal have been wonderful. I also had several microderm appointments before my wedding, which greatly improved my skin. I tried cool sculpting on my stomach area, but that treatment did not do much for me. I had Jplasma done at this facility a week ago and my experience was great. I had a virtual consultation due to both Covid1-19 and I was also an out of town patient. They responded to my messages promptly and the whole process was very easy and stress free. When I arrived on my procedure day, everyone was expecting me and knew me by name. I did not have to wait and was taken care of immediately upon arrival. My nurse was Courtney. She was fantastic.

I would highly recommend Medical Cosmetic Enhancements- THEY WERE HONEST! They did not make false claims or try to get you to do something (for weight loss, in my case) that would not necessarily benefit you. Dr Varano was able to quickly assess that I did not have the type of belly fat that would be reduced much by the coldsculpting procedure I was seeking. Emmanuelle thoroughly informed me about the alternative Medically supervised diet.

I love coming to medical enhancements. The young lady has been giving me treatments for a few years now and she is just so knowledgeable and sweet. I'm so sorry her name escapes me at the present but I've always had trouble with names. I've had another staff member as well and honestly everyone including the front desk staff is wonderful and so kind and so willing to offer their knowledge on whatever you have questions or need help on.

I come here for laser hair removal and while the nature of that means there will be some pain, the technician is very good and calming. I am one month post op from laser liposuction that I got done here! I love the results I am seeing so far, and am excited to see more as my body continues to heal. The down time was only two days! They're very flexible and friendly. I had to bring my daughter in one time and they were so open to having her and ensure that she's safe and occupied while I had my treatment done. I had a scheduled appointment but my day cleared up and I asked if they can move my time up and them being flexible, they moved it up with no problem. Love their hospitality and customer service! They're also very patience with me!!

Great Experience!!! Once again with the staff and doctor. The doctor was very knowledgeable of the procedure I was considering in getting in the next months. He also presented before and after pictures of his patients to give me an idea of the results...which very by patient. He also showed the medical tools used in the procedure and gave information on the length of time of the surgery and after/post surgery.

It was a nice experience, Doctor Varano was very professional limited to the procedure, i did my inner legs and hips, it was quick like 30 min. Putting the anestesia was painful though but nothing you can not handle, after that you don't feel anything. I was able to take the plane back the same day. The staff was very kind. My experience at Medical Cosmetic Enhancements has been overall really good. The facility, treatment, and staff are great. The laser hair removal has been very sucessful in one area and moderately successful in another area - but I feel like this is more of a personal problem then a treatment issue. The staff are professional and nice. The only reason my review is 4 stars is because the laser treatment can vary depending on the staff member you get to do your treatment and some staff are more thorough than others. Overall I feel so much more confident after doing laser and I'm happy I ended up doing it here.

The staff is professional, and my tattoo removal technician is great. She's kind and patient does her best chat me up in order to help me through the process during each appointment. I love that this practice offers prescription strength numbing ointment for tattoo removals, very considerate. I just wish they had the cooling machine as well, but the clean office, great pricing and prime DC location (lots of street parking surrounds the building) keeps me coming back!

I love the laser technician. She is patient and answered all of my questions. She remembered what we had talked about the last appointment. Only think I would say is that she has been 10-15 minutes late for both appointments. The front desk staff could be a little more patient and friendly as well.
