Refine your natural beauty
If your skin’s starting to sag but you’re not ready for surgery, Thermage might be your answer. It’s FDA-approved, uses radiofrequency energy, and actually works. The procedure tightens loose skin without cutting anything or weeks of recovery.
Radiofrequency energy heats the deeper layers of your skin to a specific temperature, causing your collagen to contract and tighten right away. Over the next 2-6 months, your body keeps rebuilding collagen, so results continue improving. Some people notice a difference immediately. Most see the best results a couple months out.
The treatment takes 30-60 minutes depending on how many areas you’re treating. You’ll feel heat and pressure, but we use cooling to keep it comfortable. Then you walk out and go about your day — no bruising, no bleeding, no recovery period.
Tests and procedures
Thermage works on several different areas. Mid-face, neck, forehead, around the eyes. Pretty much anywhere you've got loose or sagging skin, this can help tighten things up.

Questions about appointments
Got questions? We do too. Here are the ones we hear most often -- hopefully they answer what's on your mind.
Thermage is an FDA-approved radiofrequency treatment that tightens skin. It's not a laser. Instead, it uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deeper layers of your skin uniformly. That heat causes collagen to contract and tighten. Over time, your body rebuilds new collagen, and the results keep improving for months.
Thermage and Ultherapy are similar -- both tighten skin without surgery. Ultherapy uses ultrasound to target deeper tissue. Thermage uses radiofrequency. If you want more dramatic tightening than either of those, ThermiTight is a minimally invasive option that goes a step further.
The most common areas are the mid-face (below the eyes to the chin), the neck, the forehead, and around the eyes. Basically anywhere you've got loose or sagging skin, we can treat it.
You'll feel some heat and pressure, but it's not painful. We use a cold air chiller to keep you comfortable during the treatment. The sensation is usually described as warm and manageable. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, so Dr. Varano adjusts intensity to find the right balance for you.
Usually 30-60 minutes depending on how many areas you're treating and how large those areas are.
Some people notice tightening immediately. Most people see the best results gradually over the next 2-6 months as your body keeps producing new collagen. Patience pays off with this one.
Generally at least two years. Some people enjoy improvements for even longer. Individual results vary, but you're getting real collagen remodeling, so the results are solid.
Nope. It's completely non-invasive. No cutting, no bruising, no bleeding. You can go back to work or exercise that same day. The only side effect most people see is maybe some slight redness that looks like a mild sunburn. That typically fades quickly.
Radiofrequency energy has been used in medical procedures for years with an excellent safety record. FDA trials showed less than 1% side effects. The treatment is safe for almost everyone. The only contraindications are pregnancy and implanted hardware like pacemakers or defibrillators.
