No. We apply a topical anesthetic before treatment. You'll feel a prickling sensation during the laser, but it's well tolerated and not painful.
After your first Fraxel session, your skin feels softer and looks fresher immediately. Over the next 2–4 weeks, wrinkles fade, brown spots lighten, and texture improves. After completing your full course of treatments (3–5 sessions), results are significant. With CO2, results are dramatic after even one session.
Results can last years. Your skin doesn't revert after treatment. However, sun exposure will damage your skin again if you don't protect it. Sunscreen is essential.
First a microdermabrasion followed by a light 5 minute exfoliating with Fraxel laser. Performed to enhance the results of microdermabrasion. Treatment time is 30 minutes done for exfoliation, skin cell turnover and glowing complexion. No downtime, no topical anesthesia required, very mild stinging sensation may occur during the active Fraxel laser time. A good skin maintenance treatment. May feel like a sunburn for 30 minutes to 1 hour after the treatment. You can return to your daily routine immediately afterwards. Please note this is not a full Fraxel treatment which is a more intense treatment. Not recommended if your goals are wrinkle improvement, discoloration or acne scaring. Pre treatment requirements: no recently tanned skin, avoid any other exfoliation treatments (such as peels, Retin-A, lasers) 3-7 days before the treatment. Post care: use mild cleanser and sunscreen. $325/session.
Very similar to Clear and Brilliant using the same technology. Topical numbing is applied for 30-45 minutes followed by Fraxel laser with less passes(4) than regular fraxel (8), generally at a lower intensity. No downtime $400/session.
Subcision is a minor in-office procedure that involves inserting a small needle under the skin to release scar tissue . This allows the skin to rise and diminish the appearance of the indented scars from acne or chicken pox. This is an incisionless procedure done usually under 15 minutes . The area is numbed with local anesthetic so you not feel any pain, then a small needle is inserted under the skin to break up scar tissue. This also promotes the building of collagen. This is usually performed 2-4 times every 4 weeks and can be combined with laser/fraxel treatments for additional improvements. Cost ranges $400-800 a session.
