Lift and volumize without traditional surgery

Silhouette Instalift is a minimally invasive facelift alternative. It’s done in 45 minutes with three small lidocaine injections — no incisions or general anesthesia needed. You’ll see lifting right away, then keep improving over a few months as collagen builds. Results typically last 18-24 months.

Biodegradable sutures with cones go under your skin to lift and support the tissue. As they dissolve, they trigger collagen production that adds volume and fills things out. Over time your skin looks firmer and more youthful.

Regular facelifts handle sagging but miss volume loss, so you’d need two separate procedures. Instalift takes care of both at once. The sutures are made from the same material as Sculptra.

The midface has full FDA approval and gets treated most often. Instalift works on the lower face, jowls, neck, and brow too.

Other options include traditional facelift surgery if you want more dramatic results, Botox for wrinkles, or fillers for volume. We can talk through what makes sense for you during your consultation.

Questions about Silhouette Instalift

It's a minimally invasive lifting procedure using biodegradable sutures with cones. The sutures mechanically lift deep tissue, and the cones stimulate collagen production. Result: immediate lift plus progressive volumization over months. No incisions, no general anesthesia, 45 minutes total.

Biodegradable sutures with bidirectional cones are placed under the skin through small injection points. These mechanically lift and fix deep tissue. Over the next 2-3 months, the cones stimulate collagen production. The sutures gradually dissolve as your body creates scar tissue, providing ongoing support and volumization.

The midface has full FDA approval and is the most common area. Instalift can also treat the lower face, jowls, neck, and brow -- though these have pending full FDA approval. Dr. Varano will recommend which areas will give you the best results.

Traditional facelift requires incisions, general anesthesia, and surgical recovery.  Instalift is minimally invasive, requires no incisions, and addresses both lift and volume in one procedure. Recovery is much faster.

45 minutes. Quick procedure that fits easily into your schedule.

No. Three small injections of lidocaine (about the size of a Botox needle) are given for local anesthesia. You remain awake and comfortable throughout. There's no pain during or immediately after treatment.

Immediately. The lifting effect is visible right after treatment. Over the next 2-3 months, collagen develops and the volumizing effects increase. Skin looks progressively firmer and more youthful as the months pass.

Mild swelling, redness, and bruising for a few days to a week. Some bruising is normal and usually mild because the procedure doesn't require incisions or extensive trauma to tissue. Use arnica gel to minimize bruising. Most of the swelling and bruising is gone within a week.

Mild swelling, redness, and bruising for a few days to a week. No pain medication needed except over-the-counter Tylenol if needed. Avoid heavy physical activity and contact sports for one week. Most patients resume normal activities within a few days.

No. They're placed deep under the skin where the lifted tissue sits. You won't feel them during or after treatment.

They gradually dissolve over several months as your body creates scar tissue. This scar tissue provides ongoing support and the collagen-stimulating effect that keeps results looking good.

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS

Other ways to address sagging skin

Silhouette Instalift works for many patients, but it’s not the only option. Here’s how it compares to other treatments we offer.

Traditional Facelift Surgery Surgical procedure requiring incisions, general anesthesia, and extended recovery. Addresses sagging but not volume loss. More dramatic results for advanced aging. Best for significant facial laxity but involves longer downtime and visible scars.

Botox and Dermal Fillers Botox smooths dynamic wrinkles; fillers add volume. Neither treatment lifts sagging tissue. Good for mild concerns but doesn’t address mechanical laxity. Requires ongoing maintenance treatments.
